I Will Call Him, Fettucini

I can't believe that I'm actually typing this, but next week, Jason and I are headed to:

I am so excited!! I have never traveled overseas, but I think (know) that this trip will be a fantastic first voyage for me.

And I have a feeling that I will come back a little nauseous, a little swollen, a little tired. I'll have a bloated belly, bloated thighs, a bloated rear. Probably 15 pounds heavier.

I'll come back pregnant.

Pregnant with pasta that is. (And only pasta. I think our parents just had a heart attack somewhere.)

And I'll call him Fettucini. Or Alfredo. Or Pesto. Or Tortellini.

I think Fettucini Alfredo Lashley has a nice ring to it...

All joking aside, I can't wait to go. I can't wait to take a vacation with my husband. I can't wait to see our friends get married. I can't wait to get full nights of sleep. And I can't wait to get back and share stories and pictures.

To keep my blog list from saying "3 posts" for the month of July, I've scheduled posts for while we're gone. Ironic that I won't post when I have access to a computer, but I will when I won't....but anyhow, it's nothing to get too excited about. Just pics of my girls. Did I just say that? Only the best pictures of my girls! That sounds a little better. Hope you enjoy!

We had such a great 4th of July this year! We spent the day and at my mom's house with my sis and bro-in-law. We had so much fun setting off fireworks that night. It was really foggy and it made for some fun picture taking. All of our pictures turned out kind of blurry with a bluish tint that made the end product kind of neat. Here are some of the pics from the night.

Chloe had so much fun watching the fireworks, and we let her stay up way past her bedtime.

As for this little bun, her 4th of July looked much like her sister's did last year. She was in her swaddled bliss right at her bedtime. No fireworks for her. There's always next year!

Chloe, Me & My Mom's Huge Sunglasses

I just realized three things:

1. Being a toddler means everything, and I mean everything, must end in tears.

2. My family has really awesome taste in sunglasses.

3. I have a major issue with stealing those sunglasses and pretending they are my own.

I'm checking myself into The Ray Ban Rehab Center immediately.

Stella, Me & My Sister's Huge Sunglasses

K.W. this is for you.

She's a real beauty isn't she?
She gets it from me. Not. We all know who she looks like.

And to my sister--you really shouldn't leave your cute sunglasses lying (is it lying or laying for inanimate objects...someone Google it for me) around. Because when you do, I have to pretend that I don't know that they're yours. And when you ask me if I've seen them, I have to pretend that I haven't. And I'm 75% sure that's a lie. And then I have to put them in my purse, take them to the park, take self portraits with my daughter, and blog about it later.

And actually, I don't know where they are. No lie.

I think.
